The IOTMOD1 is an LTE Cat M1/NB1 modem for IoT applications with low data volume. Compact, power-efficient and fully compatible with our LTE modems – easily interchangeable with identical form factor.
The IOTMOD1 is an LTE Cat M1/NB1 modem, specially developed for IoT and M2M applications with low data volume. It has the same form factor as our LTE modems and can be easily exchanged when needed – ideal for applications that need little bandwidth today but want upgradeability for the future.

Who is LTE Cat M1/NB1 Suitable For?
LTE Cat M1 and NB1 (also known as NB-IoT) are specially designed for applications with:
- Low data volume: Typically under 5 MB per month
- Uncritical latency: Seconds instead of milliseconds are acceptable
- Long battery life: More power-efficient than classic LTE
- Wide network coverage: Better building penetration than LTE Cat 1+
